I believe in the power of connection. Before we even touch the keys, I take time to get to know my students—their interests, their challenges, their dreams. Whether it’s a child excitedly sharing about their week at school or an adult discussing the hurdles of balancing practice with a busy life, these conversations shape our lessons.

 

For children, I make learning fun and engaging, using games, stories, and creative exercises to help them grasp musical concepts without even realizing they’re learning. For adults, I focus on making progress achievable, breaking down complex pieces into manageable steps and celebrating every milestone along the way. My teaching isn’t just about learning to play the piano—it’s about building a relationship with music that lasts a lifetime.

I have helped students achieve goals of performing in national competitions, and acing college auditions, all the way to students who simply want to be able to play for their church or share their music with their family.
